Please join us for a two-part convening organized by Natalie Diaz, Mellon Foundation Fellow-in-Residence. This gathering will bring together preeminent poets and Native scholars whose works and imaginations are shaped by a deep relationship to bodies of water, and many knowledges and practices born from those relationships across time.Â

Monday, October 2nd is an afternoon of poetry in the Mellon Garden, featuring Natalie Diaz, Nikky Finney, Joy Harjo, No'u Revilla, and Tracy K. Smith,
with remarks by Elizabeth Alexander, President, Mellon Foundation.Â

Tuesday, October 3rd is a morning of presentations and conversation, featuring Natalie Diaz, Megan Bang, Jodi Byrd, Joy Harjo, Governor Stephen Roe Lewis of the Gila River Indian Community, No'u Revilla, and Aulani Wilhelm.Â
Please note that this invitation is non-transferrable and is intended only for the addressed recipient, as space at the Foundation is limited. Weather permitting, the event will be held outside on October 2nd, so please dress comfortably.
